My name is Jo, I am an Open University student with an adventurous spirit, a passion for travel and ability for taking on seemingly unachievable tasks and making them happen.
This blog is about a hiking holiday through the Rees Dart valleys of New Zealand. The hike is graded as medium/hard and it is my first multi day hike with a 15kg pack.
The blog begins with some posts regarding training and gear purchases, as a new hiker I wanted to provide readers with an idea of the preparation required to complete such a trip. Finally, the hike itself is documented with both text and photographs to provide the readers with a sense of the adventure undertaken.
